CaON is an EU Technology Cluster which aims to create a forum for FP7 funded projects in the area of Converged andrg Optical Networks in order to reinforce consensus within this technical community and act catalytically to facilitate new dialogue with other Future Networks and Future Internet projects and disciplines in Europe.
Targeting these objectives CaON paves the way to meet the following goals:
1. Better equip the CaON actors to communicate and collaborate with other Future Networks stakeholders and higher value programmes.
2. Raise the profile of the CaON projects’ know-how and achievement for the benefit of a broader community including policy/decision makers as well as national and international research funding councils.
3. Define a CaON reference model.
